"Responsible For: Maintain a delivery-orientated approach to developing the applications and their supporting software & data infrastructure. Manage releases, and support existing systems. • Working independently and as part of a team to design, develop, test and implement web based applications. • Building on and suggesting best practices • Mentoring other members in the department where appropriate, providing guidance and knowledge transfer • Delivering well structured, maintainable and fully tested systems to time and budget • Following HSBC Risk-Based Project Management (RBPM) and GB&GCF IT development methodologies, corporate information security and corporate website look & feel guidance to ensure successful project delivery with strict adherence to coding practices and the production of all necessary documentation • Initiation and implementation of productivity and quality initiatives • Manage and co-ordinate software releases through to Production Job Specification – Part 2 ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE 5 to 8 years Including: Education, technical knowledge, company/industry experience, IT knowledge, languages etc. • A proven track record delivering web applications. • Experience of working on front end layers / tiers of the project with rich UI. • Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and css-processors like SASS, Less etc. • Excellent knowledge of React.JS (ideal) or Angular. • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript etc. • Experience in front end testing frameworks like Jest, Jasmine and Karma etc. • Experience in creating pixel perfect UI as per provided specifications. • Experience of designing responsive GUI for Desktop and Mobile based applications. • Good knowledge of accessibility and cross browser standards. • Good knowledge of data marshalling/de-marshalling using JSON and XML • Experience and passion for test driven development IDEAL EXPERIENCE • Experience working with git and IDEs like IntelliJ and VSCode • Good knowledge of Java framework like Spring RESTful calls and web service calls • Basic understanding of Websphere Application Server / Tomcat / Liberty ESSENTIAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES Including: Interpersonal skills, management, leadership, communications, sales, planning and organising, project management skills etc. • Pragmatic / lean / agile development techniques • Comfortable operating in an “agile” development team, self-starting, motivated. • Good communication skills both written and verbal. • Takes ownership, pride in delivered work • Good deadline management and communication for delays, slippages.
